Aqua    Water, the main ingredient, adds moisture directly to the skin
Glycerin  A humectant to hold water and keep it on the skin
Sorbitan sterate   Emulsifier to aid the mixing of the oily ingredients with water.
Dimethicone   A synthetic silicone polymer which acts as an antifoaming agent and forms a waterproof layer on the skin to prevent water loss by evaporation
Paraffinum liquidum  Light, petroleum-derived oil which moisturizes by forming a waterproof barrier.
Petrolatum  Heavy, petroleum-derived oil which moisturizes by forming a waterproof barrier.
Cetyl palmitate                                                                              Moisturizing ingredient
Cetyl alcohol  This ingredient acts as a thickner and has moisturizing properties
Citric acid  A beta-hydroxyl acid that is used to exfoliate skin (i.e.,dissolve the outer layer of skin cells). It also contains acidity in the finished product.
Steareth-100*  Surfactant to aid mixing of ingredients and to aid even spreading of the product

Acrylates/C10-30-alkylacrylates crosspolymer salicylic acid*  This forms a thin film on the skin, binds the other ingredients together and thickens the product.
Glyceryl hydroxyl sterate*  A moisturizing ingredient that also acts as an emulsifier
Sodium stearate  This is essentially soap and is used as a surfactant to aid spreading, and as an opacifier to disguise the watery nature of the main ingredients
Tetrasodium EDTA
Prevents the calcium and magnesium ions present in hard water from combining with some of the other ingredients.

Parfum  A mixture of fragrance chemicals, often more than 50 in number, many of which are artificial
Octyl methoxycinnamate*  A UV absorber to protect the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. This is needed because the exfoliating ingredients remove the outer layer of the skin cells that contain our natural UV-absorbing pigments.
Phenoxyethanol*  Preservative, restricted to 1 percent of the finished product.**
Methylparaben*  Water-soluble preservative, restricted to 1 percent of the finished product.**
Butylparaben*
Oil-soluble preservative, restricted to 0.4 percent of the finished product.**

C! 17200**  Red azo dye.

*These ingredients are subject to restrictions or have been linked to harmful or adverse effects.

**Indicates that this ingredient may be used in larger quantities if it is used for another specific purpose other than as a preservative.
